From Tuttle School
Dear Tuttle families,
I am Chris Brown, the school principal for Tuttle School. I am in my seventh year as principal and I love our school, our students and our families. We are an amazing Tuttle Family! We are a group of caring adults that are excited to work with your child! Please enjoy the end of the summer with your families, have fun, but save up energy for learning too! We hope you are finding time to run and play and ride and swim, but also read, problem solve, practice your math facts, and read some more!
We have a few short weeks until we reconvene. I wanted to share a few things as we get ready to open our doors on August 27th.
Bus routes will be posted on the school district website shortly, please review your stop. As the bus runs are just starting up, please be patient as some of the routes are finalized and be out there earlier than the suggested time by a few minutes. Students will be unloaded from buses and shown to their classrooms. Please remember students may get breakfast at school between 8:45 and 9:00 at no cost.
We will ask all families to read the Tuttle School Handbook over the first week of school and then sign the final page, both student and guardian that the handbook has been read and you are familiar with our procedures. Please note there are few changes to late drop offs and some details about our school.
We would like you to note a few upcoming dates: new kindergarten students and families may see their classrooms on August 26 from 2 until 3 pm. We will have picture day on October 5th (make ups on November 9) and our Back to School night will be on Thursday September 10th at 6 pm. Our monthly PTO meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of the month at Hagaman library with a start time of 5:45pm
LASTLY- Please go into Powerschool and be sure to complete or update your student enrollment forms- this is SO important for us to have completed and updated versions! Thanks! Finally, student homeroom teachers for classes will be sent out soon, and a communication from your child’s teacher will follow up. The grade levels have given me the classroom supplies lists, and I have attached them here:
